Fan decupling

I?m trying to put the finishing touches on PC, silence wise. Right now I?m running all Panaflow L1As undervolted in my Lian Li 6070. I've heard decupling the fans from the case can help, Nickel020 posted some links (below) which look good. I was wonder though if I could just get some rubber washers and place them between the case and fan, and maybe do the same thing with the HD cage.

Thoughts, recommendations?

If you didn't already do so, you might want to cut out the stock Lian Li fan grilles since they're relatively restrictive, and thus create turbulence and noise. My Lian-Li with easy-flowing chromed grilles.

Here's another one on the turbulence-reduction agenda: front filter holder thing with all the restrictive little holes replaced with one huge open rectangle.

Yep, I did the fan exhaust grill thing the day I got it. As for the front filter mines a bit different, look here. I was thinking of moding that as well to open it up a bit. I'm not sure if it would make a noticeable sound difference or not, but it would make the dust filter much more effective.

Whoa, that's not a very big intake! :Q Yeah, I would be looking to open that up too.
