can a fan controller, preferably the nexus 3.5'' one, control a fan with a molex connector and a mobo connector?

First of all, fan controller requires that the fan be connected or plugged in to the fan controller before they can take control of the fan speed. If the fan is connected to the mobo or directly to a molex power connector, then obviously the fan controller will not be able to control the fan. On some bios, the fan connected to the mobo can be controlled from the bios. But this is not dynamic. Meaning when set the fan speed stays there.
