So i didn't want to hicjack the previous thread, and posted my own. I would like a fan controller, but i want one with Audio ports and USB in the front as well. The problem is, all the ones I have seen you actually just plug the wires in the back of the case and drag the wires through the case to the front for the Audio and USB, and I just want to plug it in to my motherboard...any ideas if there is something out there like this?

There are not many if any for one. second, if you found one you would only be albe to conrol ~2 fans with it, for the most part. how proficient are you with a drill and dremel? oh, and what case do you have?

relatively proficient with a drill, don't own a dremel, never have used one...link me one? I have the antec slk3700AMB...nice case, only run 2 120's in it anyways...just wanted to quiet them down a little bit so I don't have to hear anything!1 :) Yes I am a greedy boy, only 2 120's and passive heatsinks on my dual xeons, but what is a boy supposed to do? And why would I only be able to control 2 fans? Not that it is a problem, just curious!

well, most of teh really multi function front bay devices only have controllers to control two fans. aerocool and enermax both have good ones though they both suffer from your origonal complaint, in order to get it to the front then you must plug it into somehting on the back. there are tow ways of going about this.
1. get one of those, be happy with the dual fan support and just transfer some of your connections from teh back to the front.
2. get a FrontX bay for your connections which can just be attached to headers within your computer and get a separate fan controller.(i say this because it takes some experience and a steady hand to get just the pices from frontx and install them to your computer in your own custom locations.)

Ahhh...so you were thinking drill the holes in the front of my case and just wire them there? Hmmm...yeah, I think that is a little more than I want to do on this case....the steel won't be as pliable as teh aluminum ones. I can also see it taking a steady hand. Any recommendations on a FrontX bay? Sad that I can't get it all in one! :(

lol, yeah a lot of people are not familiar with frontx. imho i would rather drill or cut steel that aluminum. when cutting or drilling steel it is hard but that makes it brittle under your cutter or drill. aluminum is much softer so it tends to clog your saw, and melt under your drill. I would rather work with steel any day of the week.
