Is there any software I can download that will control my CPU, GPU and PSU fans? My PC sounds like a friggin jet-engine even when idling and it's annoying the crap out of me. I figured I'd at least ask before I take it all apart and start sticking my finger in the fans one by one to see which one is the trouble-maker :p.

Check the motherboard makers site. I had an intel board that none of the software would control and the bios had next to no options for fan speeds. I found on the intel site software for the board that when run allowed me to customize all the fan and temp settings. It was different from other boards I had used because the software saves the settings in bios and you don't need to have anything running.

Alright, I've determined it's mainly my CPU fan that's being a booger. Are there any good, quiet, aftermarket coolers that are roughly the same height as a stock AMD fan (Phenom II if that helps)? I have a miniATX case without much room to spare...

For miniATX I could recommend to you Thermalright ultima 90. But I also strongly recommend you to change your miniATX to midi- or maxi and mount good cooler system.

MSI afterburner is awesome for controlling your GPU Fans.

Has lots of features. Check it out. Google it.

Hope this helps.

Also Nvidia makes a software called Performance Tools that will control and monitor
all fans temps and even over clocking.
