Will this Enermax Fan Controller work with my Vantec Tornado if I use a 3-pin to 4-pin adapter? Will this work?

I think it supports 10 watts per channel and if the Tornado is 12 watts, will it work? If not, what are some other good fan controller/ temp monitor suggestions? I prefer to have a fan controller with an LCD for temps, etc.

I'm not sure they make 3-pin to 4-pin adapters. If you have found one it should work then.

Oh yes, they make them. My main concern was what would happen if the wattage of the fan is higher than the maximum output wattage of each channel of the controller.

I would try a sunbeam or this one: PC Toys I've have the sunbeam in three computers now and it works great with the 92mm Tornado. SVC used to carry the Sunbeams for about $15 but they don't have them now.

Well I already have the Enermax one, so I would like to use it if possible. I was just wondering if the fan wont work because the fan wattage is 12w and the Enermax controller supports up to 10w per channel. Will it not work or will the fan just not spin as fast as it can?

I'd be worried about drawing more power than the Enermax unit is designed for and damaging it. I hope the PC Toys one works out for you. I just ordered one as a Christmas gift for my nephew.
