Family received letter about daughter's low attendance

talk about making a big deal out of nothing. Maybe you should have notified the school she died. How is tthis news?

If anything maybe you should be happy that someone went looking for her.

I hope the family doesn't sue. The software wasn't perfect and sent out a faulty letter. Weird stuff happens after people die.

I had to a background check for an internship I applied for. The background check people called me because there were some conflicting records about my mom. She died a few years ago and a few different records still had her recorded as alive. This stuff happens. Get over it.

Nvm. Did you read the article? The school knew she was dead.

That said, I do agree that this is being blown way out of proportion. It's an unfortunate occurrence, that is all.

The family are a bunch of jerks to make a big deal over this accident. They should of just accepted the schools apology without going to the media and making this a big deal.

It sucks she died but blowing it out of proportion is just retarded. If they sue.....I will be pissed.

It was hand signed, even if it was a software glitch some prick still had to sign it.

"Our daughter's dead."

"That's no excuse. She still can't go to the prom."

They moved and couldn't find the copy of the notarized death certificate the family sent to them. So it was obviously all the teacher's (oops parents') fault!

Family is overreacting. This shouldn't even be news.. this should be a two minute phone call someplace in the UK that none of us ever know about.

Parents are melodramatic for sure. If they really wanted to make a statement they would have installed robotics into their daughter's corpse and made it work extra hard to bring up her GPA, fix the attendance issue and land a date for prom. I was kind of surprised this was not a story from the U.S.

QFT. They claim that this letter only brought them more pain. THEN WHY DID THEY TURN IT INTO A BIG NEWS STORY?!?!??!

So they can sue and hopefully settle out of court for $$$. Why else?
