What does smoking MJ have to do with politics? lol

OP isn't exactly known for his intellect and judgment.

There is a lot of discussion lately about the idea of legalizing pot. I suppose that's pretty political.

PS: Fuck you.

I think it's your incredible linguistic skills that impress us most about you... we've never seen anybody say 'fuck you' before

How else am I going to eat a dick?

Family Guy is WAY too politically charged now. I do not agree with Seth McFarlane's views, hence, I stopped watching it. It angers me instead of making me laugh. He should know better. You think Penny-Arcade.com would ever allow politics to divide their fan-base? No. If your media doesn't require a political standpoint that conflicts with half the population, then either offend equally (South Park) or don't let your bias show. Why offend half of your viewers if you don't have to?

Now THAT is smart!

I absolutely agree with you. Don't split the fan base.

so this makes NO FUCKING SENSE. if you assume that the fan base for family guy was the "shoved-rod-up-ass humorless conservative fucktard crowd," then you're too retarded for words.

Why should anyone give a shit about who they offend, especially if that's their schtick? Where is the "freedom to do what the hell you want" that your type is always harping on about? Why can't Seth McFarlane do what the fuck he wants? Why can't he laet the ratings decide his fate? Why can't you do your own damn show to counter his schtick? (Well, I know why you can't because most of you sound about as funny as Joey Bishop)

You really think half his viewers are conservatives? South Park actually annoys me when it tries to draw false equivalence between two sides of an issue. Real life is neither fair nor balanced.

Almost half of the POTENTIAL viewers... That's the way the population votes. Obviously, he's already run them off.

He's not "making a point" when he has Lois shoot up portraits of all recent US presidents including Reagan except conveniently the gunshots dip and avoid Bill Clinton (before dwelling on Bush #2). Crap like that doesn't win people over. It's not using his show as a platform to explain his POV. He's just pissing people off.

WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Boo fucking Hoo.

Shows that try to make everybody happy are not funny.

and I don't get why he makes a point to mention "and including Reagan" in his statement, as if that douchebag is somehow immune to criticism. Really, CZRoe? You're saying one of the worst presidents of the 20th century doesn't deserve criticism? Really?

MacFarlane's musicals are hilarious. I really appreciate his ability to work them into his brand of humor, and damn does that guy have an amazing voice. However his political jabs... meh. I could do without them.

I don't get it either.

I guess they could make a family guy challenger with such plot lines as:

Reeducate the gays
Bomb the evil baby killing doctors
Let the market readjust itself while people eat each other
Laugh at the poor who can't afford health care and rely on you to be their gods in the ER

Or something like that.

Quit being an asshole. He didn't criticize any of them. I said "including Reagan" so that we know that he isn't just expressing his hatred of the Bushes, which would be just fine. If you didn't get that you didn't think long/hard enough. As it stands, Bill Clinton got a pass for no other reason than that he is "Mr. Bill Clinton, Democrat." That's polarizing. Do you think he is blameless/a great president? Great. Take it to P&N. I'm not bringing politics into OT... my point was that he, Seth McFarlane, wasn't making a point and was just pissing people off.

Why is it suddenly OK to slander conservatives or any political alignment in ATOT? If you think conservative policy is to bomb abortion clinics, take it to P&N and argue there. I'm sure you don't believe it for a second so you'd rather bring it up in a place where it can't be challenged without going OT. FUN!

Also, I never said what my political leanings were, so I think it's pretty funny to see all the far side attacks. Everything is not Convervative vs. Liberal. Not only are there more than two parties, but some people can actually think for themselves and decide on the individual issues rather than aligning with either dominant party and letting the party line dictate their stance on each.

Personally I fucking hate it. Not that I'm not open to these ideas, it's just that, if I'm watching a cartoon, it's because I want to laugh. Not have someone shove their ideas down my throat.

I didn't mind the atheism episode, because it showed how some Christians can be as loony Islamic extremists.

But the MJ episode? I couldn't believe I was watching a cartoon where the whole town was smoking weed and singing about how great marijuana is. I seriously put on my WTF face. My wife didn't know what hit her. And I officially stopped watching Family Guy after that.

I know MJ isn't harmful, but it sure isn't any good either. It's smoking that I have the issue with. No human should inhale anything burned. It doesn't make any fucking sense. But we are in America, land of the free, so I fully support anyone who wants to light a joint in their homes.

So that was my rant, Family Guy isn't funny anymore.

EDIT: Added 'h' to 'human'.

????? Family Guy was canceled 7 years ago at this point.

I stopped watching that shitty show when the dumb singing and musicals and cut-aways to John Conway started to take away so much airtime I may as well not watch any more. Also the jokes just aren't funny anymore.

You mean Conway Twitty?

Hehe..you slay me, kiwi. 🙂

Haha yeah that's the one. Unfortunately they never had cutaway segments to John Conway, that's something that might actually keep me entertained

there was a terminator cutaway when peter was facing the wrong way at the drive in.

Like I said, though, I don't care what people do or how they do it. I know I drink WAYYYYYYYY to many Cokes. That sure in the hell isn't healthy 😛

What kind of crack head compare MJ to coke?

Srsly Cocaine is one helluva drug.

You broke forum protocol. Someone was supposed to post a funny Family Guy clip first, and then you're supposed to rant about "Family Guy hasn't been funny since the 2nd season!"

Try again.

Family Guy annoys me; not so much politically (even though I do think it goes overboard often enough). I just don't find Seth McFarlene as funny as most people do - he gets old and tiresome for me.

That being said I still do watch Family Guy since so much of everything else on TV is terrible.

He has been over reaching lately. The show still has good bits on it, but I think Stewart is having trouble being properly motivated(conflicted interests). When Bush was in office Stewart expressed genuine feelings, with Obama I think he might have genuine feelings regarding his criticism, but at the same time part of him has a difficult time expressing those feelings due to his support of Obama. Or, he's trying too hard to seem "fair" and criticize Obama whether he feels it's warranted or not.

I dunno really, he's certainly not at his peak. Perhaps he has just done the show too long and is losing interest/focus.
