Are you a man or aren't you ? Never back down from a woman. That day you give an inch , the will take a mile !

Now excuse me while I go pick my clothes up off the floor...... only because I want to !

You're a stubborn twit, aren't you?

So if you asked if you could fuck her sister and she said no you'd do it just because you "NEVER take and ultimatum from a woman"?

Seriously, you're wrong and i'm right, get used to it, it's not like it's the first time. 😎

Dude, that doesn't even make sense.

It would help if you in some way explained what doesn't make sense to you.

Is it the word ultimatum you don't get or is it how it's used you don't get?

NO ultimatum would mean that he could do whatever he wants to because she can set no limits for him, no ultimatum.

Do you get it now?

Where I come from, an ultimatum isn't when you ask a question and are told no.
This is of course beside the point that your example is quite stupid and irrelevant. Par for the course for you, naturally.

Read the fucking OP before you get into a thread, that is the premise, he wants to get a gun, she says she will leave, that is an ultimatum according to Amused and i agree on him on that, there are however many ultimatums in a relationship.

At least he gets that, i don't know what fucking thread you've been reading but it's not this one.

My point... there it IS! 😉

I think before I can answer I'd have to know what the GF's reasoning is.

Guns make me nervous for a few reasons.

1. if you have a gun and pull it out, you have to know that you'll use it without exception or risk having it taken away from you and used on you.

2. When you read about tragedies in the home during family disputes and such that involved guns. You've got to wonder if the argument wouldn't have ended with somebody dying if there wasn't a loaded gun in the house.

As far as taking ultimatums in a relationship goes.. telling somebody that you won't come over to visit in a home that contains a loaded weapon is a little different than saying ïf you don't do as I say then it's over"

Oh i do get your point (and agree with you, mostly), it's just that you said "NEVER take an ultimatum from a woman" and you were wrong.

Can you admit you were wrong or do we have to keep going back and forth until we get banned for quote nesting? 😉

Nope. I will never take an ultimatum from a woman. Never have (well, since the first GF who walked all over me), never will.

You're a stubborn twit, aren't you?

So if you asked if you could fuck her sister and she said no you'd do it just because you "NEVER take and ultimatum from a woman"?

Seriously, you're wrong and i'm right, get used to it, it's not like it's the first time. 😎

If I wanted to fsck her sister I wouldn't be in the relationship.

If I asked her, I would hope she would have the backbone to break up with me on the spot after making sure I wasn't joking.

And if I DID want a relationship with a woman who lets me fsck her sister, I'd marry a swinger.

I will do what I want. Who I am with will accept me for what and who I am just as I will accept them for what and who they are. I will not be changed through threats nor will I change someone else using threats and intimidation.

You're fucked in the head, that much is for sure.

You don't want to admit that the ultimatum of not screwing someone other than your wife is an ultimatum she might pose, so FUCKING WHAT if you's leave her, it's still a fucking ultimatum.

And you shouldn't accept that from any woman so you would have to be alone for the rest of your life because you don't accept ANY ultimatum.

Don't you get it, every fucking couple in this entire world is that way, there are things you CAN'T DO and that is the ultimatum, if you do it she will leave you and if you ask first she will make this ultimatum, don't tell me you're too fucking daft to get this after this explanation?

Now see? You say "can't do" (ultimatum) and I say "won't do" (agreement).

So you can insult me all day long, but I'm right and it kills you.

The only daft one here is you who cannot understand the difference between an ultimatum (threat) and a mutual agreement.

Cheerio.

What amazes me is the nearly unanimous sentiment here that the OP should kick the woman he loves to the curb over an inanimate object that he'll probably use a few times and then it will collect dust on a shelf in his closet for the rest of his life.

Thank you for the insults but you're still wrong. "Do this or else" is NO WAY to maintain a healthy relationship. I do NOT threaten my partners and if they try to threaten me, I walk.

If you think a healthy relationship requires threats you're either a whipped pussy or an abusive asshole.

Either way, you're wrong.

But hey, whatever floats your boat.

ehh, I think everyone is reading into it a little differently. Some see this as "Relationship defining" power grab whereas other people don't see what the big deal is. And then of course, there are others who just think the someone else is wrong and must correct them no matter how outrageous their position becomes.

Personally : I'm going to use this thread to model my life. With my girl I will say I am getting a gun. When she objects and gives me an ultimatum I'll "cave in" by offering to concede the gun on account of being able to buy a new (insert gadget/gizmo/gun.. wait not gun) here.

Well fuck, it's not like he's married to her or even shacking up. She doesn't need to know. Why open up that can of worms? Why even mention it to his family? You think I went and got approval from my family when I bought my first gun? Or my second? Or my third?

Ok, when at home i see about ten women i wouldn't mind fucking with my wifes permission, if i ask her every single fucking time and she says no and i ask her what would happen and she says she'd leave me she's made an ultimatum. Can't have that, right?

I can't believe you can't get this, i honestly think you are playing daft because no one can be that stupid.

There wouldn't be ONE couple in this world if there weren't such a thing as compromise, now you may be very young, i don't know, but compromises are based on sacrifices that you both make and if you don't, then an ultimatum will be produced, you can't sleep with other women and if you do i will leave you is an ultimatum and pretty much ALL couples do have ultimatums posed towards each other.

It's the way it works as a couple, i assume you've never experienced that?

Tell her you refuse to go to her house as long as she owns knives. I mean they are more dangerous according to most police I've spoken with.

Hardly. Have you ever gone to the range just to shoot some targets? It's actually a lot of fun. It's one of those things that looks a lot easier than it really is. I suggest that you do if you haven't, because guns are not inherently dangerous weapons of death. The best definition is that they are tools, but you can have good safe fun with them too in a responsible manner. There's no reason to be afraid of them. I've introduced gun-fearing individuals to firearms and so far all of them love it, and are no longer afraid of them.

Explain why you attached my username to a quote I didn't make.
