Not even screwdriver-style, huh? Hmmm... next thing I'd do is to pull the mobo out of the case and lay it on cardboard, threaten it a little, and try it outside the case like that. Maybe something is shorting out when it's inside the case.

i'll try it, but honestly the only thing thats keeping me from breaking the thing in half is the screws mounting it into the case. and i'm a little bit sick of unhooking everything just to get the motherboard out.

i know building a pc isn't this hard... but stupid things like this makes me wish that i would have just bought a already built computer and paid the extra 200 bux for it. it would have been worth it not to have gone though 3 days of being pissed off.

dont give up just yet. i understand it can be very frustrating but it can happen to anyone. take a break, start out fresh

everything assembled OUTSIDE OF CASE... dont turn on.. not even screwdriver style

i got it to work outside of case without harddrives and things hooked up to it... i'm going out to dinner and will put it all together later in the case..

thank you all for your help, and i'll let you know if it works.. i had to reset the ram CMOS removing the battery and everything. it was setup right on the jumpers, but i thought why the hell not?
