I guess load times were ticking you off, eh? This is another of those times where my Seagate SSHD hybrid drive (with 8GB SSD caching built in) shows off its strengths. Other than a load when fast travelling, HDD times feel very tolerably short.

I still think video card should've come before SSD as far as purchases go. *shrug* That's just me, anyway.

happy is an understatement. SSDs are the biggest innovation of the last 5 years.

Definitely the only thing in the last 5 years to have a significant impact on performance. Spinning metal platters were almost an anachronism. Amazing that they were able to keep scratching more and more performance and density out of them. SSDs might be the last game changer, until we get quantum chips or something.

SSD is in. I'm super happy at this point. The game runs super smooth now and feels completely fluid (Like Fallout 3 & NV did). There is absolutely no slowdown ever. Fantastic. 🙂

I am going to leave the CPU/GPU alone for now!

For all the complaints about how poorly optimized is this game, it scales beautifully with older hardware. It's like what gives 40% of the performance on paper actually gives 80% perceived performance.

I'm happy I upgraded, but I was running an HD6950 1GB. That I think would have been a bridge too far.

It runs kinda shoddy on my 6870 1gb with 4690k/16gb on SSD. I downloaded some new smaller textures, and game doesnt look quite as nice, framerates are a LOT better.

Runs great on my other PC with Radeon 280.
