He's in a scrapyard north of Megaton; I don't remember exactly where, Google it and you'll get an answer.

I told Dogmeat to wait at my Megaton house while I took care of some serious business. When I came back after a few days, he was no longer there :( Anyone has any ideas where I can find him again?

The only idea I would have is to check Vault 101 :\...

Basically, there is a mod to make your companion non-killable. When they 'die' they pass out. So when you finish the bad guys in the area, they wake up. It should be in Fallout3 nexus somewhere.

AS I stated above, you don't need a mod. All you need to do is open the console (press `), type "setessential 6a772 1", and that makes Dogmeat invulnerable. When he "dies", he will just be knocked unconscious, and come back after all enemies in the area are taken out.

Theres a console command to teleport yourself to any NPC, but I don't know it :\

The best way to conserve ammo is with the Rock-It launcher. Get as many schematics as possible because each one upgrades the version, and then the gun is more sturdy every time you build it.
You will need plenty of vacuum cleaners and leaf blowers to make it. You can get several of them from peoples lawns and houses.
You will also need firehose nozzles. They are often plentiful in big corporate buildings, schools, and libraries.

Once you have some Rock-Its, you will find ASSLOADS of ammo everywhere you look. And the best part about that is while you use it up you are also reducing your weight. I think Burned Books are the best because they seem to maim quite easily. Small, dense items like metal tools and baseballs are good too. But be careful you dont shoot anything that may be used in a schematic later. Once you launch something its difficult to find it again, especially in the wasteland.

I told Dogmeat to wait at 101 once, it took a LONG LONG time for him to show up there again. I figured the game glitched or he got killed along the way and one day when I went by, there he was. I've always just asked him to wait in a spot since then.
