Fallout 3 -- Thinking of picking it up

i'm stoked!

i'm going to buy the GOTY edition when i finish this one and return it to my co-worker... definitely thinking this game will warrant another playthrough, maybe as an even more evil character...

(since i am now attempting to gain more karma... even though I admitted to my Dad that I blew up Megaton... i was a neutral vault descendant at one point and now my character is evil again 0_o)

i'd like to try the game as some sort of zombie/vampire mix that is fiercely addicted to all manners of chems...

and tries to be mostly good. definitely a female character too. although I remember trying to play through KOTOR a second time as a strictly evil female char and I grew disinterested...

anyhoo i'm doing side-quests and leveling up...

taking out Enclave soldiers and selling their repaired power armor all over the Wasteland.

My first character was as evil as they come. Every opportunity there was so get some bad karma, I took it.

I never experimented with drugs, maybe my next time through I will take lots of chems, haha.

yeah... i've been busy tonight too... my brother moved in. he's without a job and needed somewhere to stay.... so i was setting up his laptop to hook up to my network (vista is a piece of shit, wow)

but i hope to get some Fallout time in later. unfortunately, Habs/Caps is on TSN and i really want to watch some of that too. so probably not tonight.

we still gotta hook up that TW 2010 sometime man. i haven't played that game in months.

Yeah ... well the eldest is turning 4 this summer, and goes to preschool a couple of days a week just to play 🙂 I'd love to play some TW ... but the motherfuckers who were supposed to install our carpet/other flooring today didn't show. Turns out they 'lost' our order, and now don't have it in stock, and it'll be 2-3 weeks minimum to replace. WTF? My house is a nightmare right now, and they are telling me 2-3 weeks minimum? I hope this ends in a substantial discount, or upgrade to better flooring.

All that bitching is to say that my PS3 isn't even hooked up to the internet now because of the new flooring that was supposed to arrive.

It'll happen ... until then ... I need to try some more Fallout on my PC. I'm done the main quests, and am now into the DLC stuff.

I thought Fallout 3 was a great game. The story really pulls you in and you cant stop playing. There are a ton of side quests that are interesting enough to make you actually want to do them. There are lots of weapons, lots of enemies and a HUGE environment to explore.

I played through FO3 on PC but never played any of the expansion packs. Ive been thinking about buying the GOTY edition on 360 to play through again and play all the expansions.



edit: Anyone notice that Bethesda is working on another Fallout game, not an expansion but a full game titled; Fallout New Vegas. Looks interesting, should be out Fall 2010.

Bethesda isn't working on another Fallout game... Obsidian is, AKA the makers of Fallout 2.

What is the better armor to have? I found the Tesla power armor in the Deathclaw sanctuary, and also a cool weapon called "Vengeance".

I already have the t-51b Power Armor... i left the Tesla armor there because I was already carrying too much stuff.... I will probably go back for it though, at least to sell it for some caps.

Anyhoo... still playing this game as much as I can find the time to. I'm level 20 and just doing side quests. I will eventually get back to the main mission, but I'm still having fun exploring. What a huge, awesome game.

Tesla is the best until u get the original power armor thing from one of the expansion (the alaska defense one)
