PS Blog has a post from one of the Bethesda devs announcing that the Fallout 3 DLC for the PS3 has been delayed until the latter part of September (correction: Why the hell did I originally type December????).

The good news is that they will be releasing Broken Steel first and not Operation Anchorage. This raises the level cap to 30 and allows you to keep playing after you've complete the main quest. After that, it will go to the regular order of releases - Operation Anchorage, The Pitt, etc.

Still, with the DLC release not coming until December, you're probably better off holding out for the GOTY edition which is due in October unless you already have the game or need something to fill the rest of your summer. :)

This is just annoying, how many copies of FO3 for the PS3 have been traded in at this point because the promise of DLC wasn't there to encourage gamers to keep it. Now they keep pushing it back, which is going to piss people off even more.

I think Bethesda's decision to hold back DLC on the PS3 while Microsoft threw money at them is going to hurt them more in the long run. By the time DLC reaches the PS3 for Fallout 3, no one who owns a PS3 will care anymore.

I'm just glad I have it on the PC. Such an awesome game, it's a shame Bethesda took such a janky approach to supporting the PS3 community with it.
