Fallout 2 any good?

I`m playing Baldur`s Gate2 at the moment,but saw the price of Fallout 2 in the shops at a great price £7.99,about $11 or $12 ,anyway I heard it`s a great game "I hope I`m right",btw I`ve never played the Fallout series & just wanted to know about those of you that have played the game to give me your input,I shall install it over Christmas since BG2 is taking quite alot of my time at present.

YES. Although I haven't played Fallout 2, I LOVE the first one and everyone says the second is even better.
 
Fallout in my opinion is probably one of the most underated games EVER. I didnt play it until about a year after it came out, and it still rocked majorly. F2 is even better
 
Nope, I got realllly addicted to Fallout 1, but Fallout 2 was too much the same, I didn't really like that game. Maybe it will be very cool if you never played Fallout 1...
 
It's the best RPG I have ever played, better than BG1+2. The depth of the plot is unique. Only Planescape:Torment can be compared with it in this area (plot).
 
I`ve played Planescape Torment & finished it, my favourite game so far if Fallout 2 is anywhere near as good I think I will enjoy the game.Btw thanks everyone for the feedback,feel free to post some more since I always come back to check this thread.

Fallout1 is my FAVORITE RPG OF ALL TIME!!!!

its the first game i really got involved in deeply.

unfortuantely, i was unable to complete part 2 also do to life. maybe ill start playing again, i cant WAIT til they make fallout 3. i dont know if their spinoff game is goign to make itthough, it doesnt interest me. i didnt like fallout because of the fighting, i liked it because of the story.
 
Fallout 3 wont come out. Interplay has fired the programming group (Troika) that had created Fallout1+2. BUT Troika has moved to Sierra and are completing a game that is identical (even better I think) to Fallout : Arcanum. It will be out in the next couple of months and I will go for it for sure.

Fallout1 is deffinately one of the top 5 games Ive played in my entire life(and that is quite a colletion of games🙂).

Fallout2 IMO isnt quite as good, but nearly, which still makes it a 5 out of 5 🙂

Get Fallout1 first though if you havent played it, the storys are connected, you dont need to play FO1 to understand FO2, but there are alot of things connecting across the two that are just plain funny so to speak.
