It's been one of the most tolerable summers in a long time. Still, The number of oppressive 80+ deg F days was very high. At least the number of extremely offensive oppressive 90+ deg F days was not as horrible as in most years past.

I look forward with glee to the darkness and cold of winter, however, until then, I will very much enjoy the mild warmth of fall.

I'm in denial that summer is over and still wearing shorts.

I was a little cold today when I went to gas up my car. Interestingly most people seem to do the same and continue to wear shorts for a while. Though today I'd say most people had jeans. Even saw someone with a coat. Ok, it's not THAT cold! It's still above freezing.

Suppose to be 2 degrees overnight though. I should go unhook the hose and air out the spigot.

Fall is here. Possible frost tomorrow night. Just made 7 1/2 gallons of fresh apple cider.

Crap that means I'll have to pick up leaves soon. Worst damn chore ever. I'm somewhat OK with fall/winter but I'd rather they only lasted about three weeks and then we went right back to late spring/summer.

I love the summer. I can deal with the heat. If I'm hot I go into the pool. Fuck the winter!!! As you can see I live in Colorado and that means back breaking snow shoveling.
