There used to be a federal law protecting military uniforms currently in active use.

I think that law lapsed or got repealed.

Only watched the first minute because it looked like it was going to get painful, but the mannerisms of the dude, especially at the start, make me think he's a little mentally impaired in some way.

I really don't care too much, but your entering into Mayne range again.

From a totally opposite end of the spectrum a bit...

Didn't watch it all myself.

Yeah, it used to be punishable, but of course some of things going on these days you used to be able to shoot people in the field for similar things and be justified years ago.

The guy behind the phone is being a total POS ahole. He's screaming obscenities in front of small children in a public place. Real class.

I think the guy doing all the questioning is an ass!

Meh, I have no problem with someone calling an imposter out on something like this. Possibly just dressing up to get some additional veterans discounts during Black Friday. In addition to being dishonest, it's also incredibly disrespectful.

i just think it's excess frm both sides. imho - and i do not serve - a simple "hey fat bastard, take the uniform off" would have been enough.

on the other hand, the guy pretending to be a real serviceman is disgusting. i can understand dress-up but lying about it is vile.

I think the guy doing the questioning is pissed off. How do you think a true military person feels when they notice fake people posing in military gear and getting credit for serving their country. Now, imagine if they watched fellow soldiers die in battle.

I think he had a right to be upset. They take sh*t like that very personal. I'm not s big fan of the military at all.

What a loser, I bet his mommy still does his laundry.

Years ago my kids wanted to wear my uniform for Halloween, I said no and explained its a uniform that I take pride and honor in, and is in now way ever to be thought of as costume.

Exactly. It's one thing to call a dude out like this showing up and actively claiming he is a Ranger, but just walking peacefully in the mall he was probably just cashing in on military discounts.

What is stupid is many businesses now won't take the military ID as enough, you have to be in uniform.

Sort of sad those same guys fighting were also fighting for our rights to do something like this.

He's really not though. The guy who's faking to be in the service is just blatantly wrong in every way, should've been drop kicked in the head if you ask me.

Ha, I got called out once for wearing my Dad's military gear while camping. I was a teenager at the time and used his gear because it was comfortable, durable, and practical for camping. The guy was insanely pissed, practically frothing at the mouth and I was just like WTF? I had no idea what to say or do so I tried to just walk away and the guy started following me while yelling about shit. I recall how insistent he was that I had fake gear (it was authentic). If there were cell phones back then I'm sure he would have been making some stupid video too. Anyway with my complete lack of reaction the guy got bored and stomped off somewhere else. I still have no idea who he was, why he was there, or what the hell his problem was.

Oh man that's so wrong...lol. This just reminded me of the time I walked in on my friend and his girlfriend. I had the same WTF? non reaction and just walked off, which ended up being hilarious to them. They were like what the hell kind of reaction was that?

Does seems like a strange reaction. I've definitely seen plenty of people with military looking clothes and gear while camping. Did you have a bunch service pins or patches or stuff? I think that's usually what gets people all irate about it. That and walking around in public trying to scam businesses or generate sympathy and attention like some weird by-proxy syndrome.

There were a few things on it, not much, but I don't really recall what now. It wasn't a fancy dress uniform or anything though. The opposite in fact, most everything was just a boring green, not even a camo design. Had the nasty plastic green canteens and other stuff too.

Which businesses are those?

I've never heard of a place that offers a military discount but will not accept military ID w/o uniform.
That's insane if true.

The mall guy is pretending to be military, not just wearing some surplus clothes. Its really no worse than somebody wearing black face makeup and pretending to be Obama.
