Fake Money Stories

My friend was playing around with photoshop and he decided to try putting his face on a dollar bill. We were eating lunch and I noticed that he had it in his wallet with his regular bills, so that he could show it to people. I warned him to separate it from his real money before he uses it one day by accident.

In addition to that, it was missing the security strip and had no watermark. It looked like a combination of the old 50s, where there is a circle around the head of the president and the new 50s where they have red white and blue dye on the bill. I called for a manager and they took the bill and then gave the couple a form for their taxes.

No fake money story here, but the OP's post reminded me of one of my last college trips to the local liquor store.

These kids are ahead of us and are trying to buy a 30 of some cheap beer. I wasn't paying any attention until the girl at the checkout laughed. Then the manager came over and looked the ID the kids handed him. All he said was, "you have to be fucking kidding me." The kids didn't leave right away and the manager finally threw them out and called the police. When I got to the checkout he recognized me and showed me what they handed him.

It was easily the worst fake ID I've ever seen. It looked NOTHING like a Massachusetts ID (this happened in MA). The picture was of some Hispanic guy (the kids were white and black) and it had "THIS IS NOT A FAKE" written across it like a hologram. I don't even know if it was laminated.

Needless to say, the other customers and I had a good laugh over that one.
