Looks like a iPhone 4 photoshopped to seem thinner.

With that said, if Apple was smart they would leak a real version soon. I really don't believe the screen size will be increased (much), and the sooner the Internet confirms that (and therefore the nerd rages over the issue can begin) the easier it will be for Apple to launch the phone to massive fanfare despite it lacking the biggest thing nerds expect out of this model.

The longer they hold out, the more us nerds hype people to expect things like a bigger screen to eventual disappointment.

How can it be the best mockup you've seen if you don't know what the actual product will look like?

What kind of question is that? It's obviously a mock up, and being "the best I've ever seen" is a matter of opinion.

Anyway, as cool as something like that would be I could see it being a nightmare from a usability standpoint. You'd have to grip it especially carefully because if one of your fingers ever touched the edge of the front screen you'd hit something. That tiny bezel on the left and right sides are a necessary evil in the touchscreen world.

The body looks marginally thinner, but the screen looks the same size. A lot of people will be disappointed if that's the actual iP5.

The best one I have seen is the renderings based on the leaked case. I think MacRumors had a post on it.

Ya know what? I am betting heavily that the IP5 is gonna actually be an awesome stunning kick ass phone. And I really dont like apple, but I admit, I have an ip4 just for wifi use, like netflix, hax and such but it is a damn nice piece of kit. I am anxiously waiting to see what apple does next.

If the phone stays the same size or gets smaller and a 3.7 - 4" screen is added I think there will be many an iPhone owner that will be very very excited.

The iPhone screen is unparalleled in the market, even after a year. If they increase the size to 3.7 or 4 inches and keep the same quality it will blow all other screens out of the water.

Unparalleled in DPI yes but it was surpassed in quality a long time ago. The Motorola Droid has better color accuracy the the iPhone 4 and the Galaxy S had better black levels, contrast, viewing angles, and response time

What if the screen is not any bigger? That doesn't sound like Apple to launch a top-of-the-line screen and declare it obsolete in one generation.

If the screen size doesn't change, will the iPhone 5 have a huge hype backlash?

I think so. I want it to stay around the same size but increase the screen. If that doesnt happen, I am still more than happy to stick with my iPhone 4.

i dont think so at all. the majority of people who cry about the size of the iphone 4 are android fanboys who have 4.3" screens and hate apple anyways.

one of the reasons i didn't want an android phone and chose iphone 4 over it is due to the phone sizes. i didn't want a huge ass phone like the evo, and on top of that i like ios a lot more than android os.

the only people who are going to have a "huge hype backlash" towards an iphone 5 that doesn't have a larger screen are people who weren't going to get it regardless.

Maybe I am in the minority, but I really think 4.3" is the ideal screen size. No smaller, no larger. I have played with the ip4 a bit, but I don't think I could deal with the screen size. If the ip5 did have a larger screen I would be in line to get one.

Um no, almost every rumor site I have seen about the iPhone 5 (even from pro-Apple places) mention a larger screen. Maybe Android upped the ante with larger screens, but it seems expectations are for Apple to keep up.

EDIT: And for the record, I personally am an iPhone guy (I have had two now, current is a 3GS) and the main reason I am considering switching away is because I believe the iPhone 5 won't have a significantly larger screen and I am sick of a sub-4inch screen after playing with Evos, Thunderbolts, and Droid Xs....

I would say so. That is the number one requested feature in my opinion for the iPhone 5. People will still buy it because its new and Apple, but a lot would probably not bother upgrading their iPhone 4.

Since we are doing photoshopped iPhones. I thought this was OK, from the macrumors forums.
