:D same shit different name...Iowa Democrats once again attempt to gut the state's Right to Work law.

Do they really think that changing the name is going to fool people? really? They tried the false name trick and we didn't fall for it("fair share") so why do they think that calling it "reimbursement" will work? It's all the same old tired Union BS that they could easily solve by giving up exclusivity.

The name change probably will fool people, but hopefully the public can be alerted to this idiotic measure so it can be crushed as it has been in the past. A turd, whether named "fair share" or "reimbursement" is still a turd. Unions...sheesh.

The right to work law is the right to work for nothing. It was called right to work because the name appeals to morons.

It should have been labeled the right to fuck yourself in your own ass law since that's what it amounts to.

Kroger abides by it's union contract for labor even in states where it does not have to. Do you know why? I bet you don't. The answer is simple....it keeps wages low.

Nobody is forcing you to open any fucking business. Go get a union job.

I should not have to be forced to support an organization I completely disagree with in order to be employed. Every worker should have the right to choose if they want to be in a union or not. Those that are good workers will usually choose not to be in a union because they will prosper on their own merit, while those who are not very valuable will seek shelter under the communal union umbrella.

If that were true than businesses wouldn't have anything to fear from unions because the best talent wouldn't be involved with them...

Your logic is flawed.

Sorry, but in real life the employers in "right to work" states will fuck over their older workers in favor of younger healthier workers wevery chance they get. It doesn't matter how good you are at what you do. Only so many people can be foremans, supervisors, etc.

You can make a rational argument for fair share if the union can prove the person is receiving higher than market (union) wage, even though he/she isn't in the union. This falls under the tragedy of commons.

Prevailing wage is horseshit, the lowest bid gets the job. Period.

I take it you support high wages for few and unemployment for most? And it's really "right to work for market wage" unless you have no tangible skills and wouldn't able to get a job w/o the union.

Take a look at Michigan to see how union employment is helping things.

I see, so the only time "trickle down economics" works is when it's management getting the big bucks.

You guys act like such fucking idiots that it isn't even fun to troll you cheapasses anymore.

higher wages+lower profit/=lower wages+higher profit

you really think the tax payer gets the same for his money when a company employs low skill cheaper labor vs. skilled labor who charge more for their services because they are worth the investment?

prevailing wages does an excellent job of weeding out contractors who could care less about quality and industry standards...all they care about is money and will routinely trade quality for their greedy ways.

Yeah, clearly working hard and showing my worth to the company hasn't gotten me a thing.
Meh, i don't mind people like you and moonie, we need task people because not everyone has what it takes to advance. "Only so many people can be foremans, supervisors, etc." ;)

Uh no, what it does it muscles out the little guys who can compete on price because they don't have the overhead that larger ones have. It's not really a coincidence that most of the large ones are connected to elected officials...is it? Hmm...

Isn't your dad some sort of big wig in your company (or have you moved on to another company since he helped you get in the door)?

LOL@U. All it takes to advance in your world is a pretty mouth. You're the Monica Lewinski of the right, you just don't have enough vision to see that and true advancement requires vision.
