Fainting Goat Kittens?

Really cute. Let's play some peaceful piano solo drivel and not the audio of us clapping our hands or shouting to make the kittens fall over.

It must not take very much noise to set them off. One clip showed a kitten nudging one of those little jingle bells and instantly falling over.

yeah, and it looked like in some of them something triggered one kitten to faint, and immediately afterwards the noise from the first kitten fainting caused the second one to faint.

my first thought was "myotonic muscular dystrophy."

🙁
It's not like they necessarily have MD

From the wikipedia article:

Myotonia is not always a disease-related or abnormal phenomenon. Humans and other animals (such as the fainting goat) often display myotonia when placed in situations of extreme stress or fear; a resultant increase in 'fight-or-flight' hormones such as epinephrine and cortisol may cause increased muscle tension throughout the body.

I feel so sorry for those kittens, and feel bad for laughing at them.

I had to laugh because they are like dominoes, one falls over making enough noise to set the other one off. plop...plop

Sooooo wrong.

they showed the goats that do this on the smoking gun presents...

there are rednecks who actually have 'fainting goat' competitions where they all go and display their fainting goats. it is fucking odd.

they also say it doesn't hurt the goats, but who the hell knows for sure.

oh and its not just the slighest sound that makes them fall over, it is when they hear a loud sound that scares them.

i dont have sound at work, but someone said a piano music song is going so you can't really hear the sound made when they faint.

the one i saw of the goats fainting and falling over, they fell over when 'scared' by something loud.

oh man that was funny. But I wonder if they were fainting because the videographer was yelling "boo!" at them at every scene.
