I receive this error message:

gina ui logon.exe application error 0x01016472 referenced memory at 0x00000000

Sorry, I just read your rigs. SP3 has a big problem with AMD chips. My cousin
downloaded it on three computers at his moms place and the only one that had a
problem was the one AMD. You really don't need SP3. You can uninstall it through
add and remove programs. You will need to boot into safe mode to do it. You may
run into problems with windows installer that will prevent you from installing updates.
You can download the installer from another computer. Microsoft has instructions
on uninstalling SP3. Look them up before going through it.

Slip stream a Windows XP + SP3 Install and then install it from there.
I'm sorry your install was borked but you are better off with a fresh install IMO
