Failed laptop battery?

I have an ACER Travelmate 732TLV laptop, which I love.

A couple of days ago, I realize it wouldn't turn on without the AC Adapter.
So it boots into Windows, and the battery icon says it is DISCHARGING.
If I unplug the power adapter, it runs fine. It is fully charge, but it wouldn't
turn on w/o the AC Adapter!

Bad battery?

Anyone knows why this is so?
