failed install of win2k - how do I delete win2k boot menu?

I tried to install win2k over millenium. It didnt work. Then I reinstalled Millenium back and its working again BUT...Now every time I boot I get that horrible win2k boot menu, how do I delete it and any files win2k might have copied?

well, one way would be to edit "boot.ini" which is located in your c: root drive.
it's a hidden file, so you'll have to enable "view all files" to see it

you can get rid of the reference to win2k and change the load time to 0 seconds...that should make it pretty much go away...

The only way to truly make it go away is to erase or repair/rewrite the boot sector. If your drive is less than 8G, you might be able to do a "FDISK /MBR". Generally I have to erase the boot sector to get rid of it or LILO from Linux. But if you do that, you will lose all your data.
