FaD Team Captain???

dringdahl

Senior member
Who is our FaD team captian? Looks like FaD allows you to send emails to all our team mates.

How about waking up some of the people who have fallen by the wayside?

TIA

At FaD, whollis26@hotmail.com, is listed as the TeAm captain. I am not sure who owns that email though...

Although we have been gaining members lately, it seems like our net active TeAm members has not changed much. I would be curiuos to know where and why the people that have left have.

On April 04, 2004 we had 23 active members and were accomplishing approx. 77,558 points/day.

As of last night we have 25 active mebers and are accomplishing approx. 197,794 points/day.

As you can see the production has increased significantly but the members has stayed almost the same. Had we not had Twioz, and nukefarmer join in the last few days we would have had the same number of members but more than double the production!

dringdahl is a good choice.

Ross is another possiblity. He's posting the stat changes and stuff, so he has an idea of who has been contributing and who has been slacking.

I appreciate the nomination, but think dringdalh would be a better leader than I. I would gladly assist where I can... stats 😉

I dont know about that, you have a lot more time invested in this than I do... I've only beena member for 10 days....

Dringdahl, you appear more outgoing, and enthusiastic than I. Thus likely to do a better job of rallying the troupes than I. I am more of an intraverted geek who loves technology and coding... look at my avatar!

🙂 ok...

Here is an email I got from FaD for changing the team Captain.

<quote>
Normally, I expect an e-mail from the old team captain accepting the change
in advance, but we could change it, notify him/her and if he objects then it
would need to revert!

Who wants to be the new captain? Have you taken a vote?

Regards
Keith

Let start a vote up with all interested parties.

Ross,

Seeing you have all the names of the Active members, how about making a poll for all of Anandtech members to vote on, as Anandtech is really one big team working on several projects.

People can submit nominations as a message to be added to the poll.

Sounds Fair I think.

Just cuz I'm more vocal, doesnt mean that I am the one the popular vote.

Ross just contacted me and I don't have a problem handing over the team captain position. I started the team when Find-a-Drug first came out. At the time we only had 3 or 4 members which grew to about 10 or so. Then we had a a lot of people jump ship because we couldn't get anyone else from Anandtech to join. Everyone else was busy doing D2OL, Folding@Home or SETI so eventually all be one or two people stopped producing. I haven't been involved with any distributed computing project for some time now as I'm currently overseas in Kuwait supporting the military.
If you need me to send THINK an e-mail or something I will. From the sound of it though they will go ahead and switch team captains as long as I don't have any objections. That's fine by me, and I don't have any objections. I just ask that you show HardOCP and XPC what the TeAm can really do. I do hope that you guys get more support than we got when I started the team as it's a good project to support.

Thanks a ton for your support, when I was in the USAF, I felt the civilian support directly over there. Keep up the great work...

I had a tumor removed after I returned from Desert Storm, so get those computers over there working FaD so we can cure cancer... B4 we die from it.

Peace 🙂
