FaD Stats Question...

Here's the deal... FaD HQ seems to be in the UK and stats runs are based on 0-6-12-18h GMT. Now... I'm EST with daylight savings time... PITA as far as scheduling jobs to run here in Vermont is concerned. Currently, we seem to be GMT-4 for half the year and -5 the other half of the year here in Vermont.

Here's the question... does anyone care if I use 0-6-12-18h EST as the scheduled runs for the FaD stats, with 0000 EST being when I roll the daily stats? The thing with this is that the official stats will be 5-4 hours old by the time that I load them.

*sigh* If only the official stats were hourly...

lol... actually... there seems to be a php date/time function that returns GMT time... is it 1am there right around now? I could set the stats to run hourly, convert to GMT, and then look for the 0-6-12-18h cusps...

okay... that's that I thought... maybe I'm too far in the bottle right now too (Glenfiddich 12-yr old Single Malt... my favorite@! )... on the FaD stats, it currently says

Updated: 18:13 20-Nov-04

and, within the next 20 minutes or so, it should say something like

Updated: 00:mm 21-Nov-04

Now... if it's actually 1am there... it can't possibly take over an hour to run the official stats, can it?

I take more of a strategic approach to crunching and am less tactical, thus daily stats are more than sufficient for myself.

Maybe it takes a while longer for them to update everyone's points and stuff. *shrugs* Checking the stats an hour later (like at 01:00 GMT) should be enough time.
