The closer you get to the top the tougher it gets. A single spot can be a long and hard fought battle 😉 Trust me, I speak from experience.

FAD is much more fun. More involved team here @ AT. 😀

It probably wouldn't surprise anyone to know that I was in the Top Ten on my team as well ... and in the top 3,000 at UD on individual stats when I left.

I am still 23rd on TechIMO ... after not crunching UD for 3 years! ... and I am still in the top 5,000 in points overall!!! I suspect that if I had continued, I could easily be in the top 1,000-2,000 overal ... water under the bridge at this point. My total contribution to UD was only about 8 years CPU time ... about a 10th of what I have contributed to FaD!

I have a relatively high ranking with SETI as well ... I still have computers crunching SETI classic (gotta upgrade to BOINC one of these days). I wonder if they are idle ??? ... hmmm ....

Oh Well :wine: to those heady days of yore. These days, I feel like I am exploring Jupiter ... with the heavy concentrations of sulfur dioxide and methane in the air with traces of other exotic and odiferous molecules.

Now I am on a beer budget :beer:

You woulda been higher than that!
When I left UD I was ranked about 450 overall. (stats went haywire and said I was about 350)

Despite that, "Jay" (on UD forums) said I was excriment for brains when I voiced my discontent with their state of affairs.

Yes FaD is a much better place to be. 🙂
