Thanks for the stats Freewolf

The hordes have added air support to the Blue Horde ...

The vaunted white horde is about to be reconstituted with both ground and air.

The hordes feel that a two pronged attack is best against OF. There have been many on the ground volunteering to be in the air attack on OF. I wonder why 🙂

Air support's in transit for BadThad's drive to break into the top 100. Some more P4 HTs will enter the fray within the week. Cooler Florida weather now provides quartering space in the garage barracks.

Dasm, I've had a Celeron 2 gig, a Celeron 1.2 gig and a 1.4 gig T-Bird running 24/7 in an unbelievably HOT garage for the entire summer. 90+ degrees, very high humidity with very little air movement. Sometimes the heat around the 3 systems felt like an oven. Didn't lose a single component.

Have to chuckle over it because I remember the days when the T-Bird was my main gaming machine and I was always worrying about keeping it cool. Well it was overclocked back then, but it was also in maximum 78 deg F operating air as well. Pretty tough hardware as it turns out.

I've just changed the distribution method for FaD in two hordes.

They were setup as scheduled tasks but that meant a touch on every computer that needs to run FaD. If the computer was re-imaged ... that meant another touch to reset the account. Very labor intensive and somewhat spotty ... computers were repeatedly missed that could crunch ...

The dawn of a new day ...

A simple script ... a group policy ... presto chango ... no touches to the client computers. As soon as a computer joins the domain ... it gets the group policy and runs FaD at startup ... every time ... new or old ... re-imaged or not ...

All I need to do is to restart computers that stall and keep the queue servers up ... of course they run using group policies as well. Very easy to manage and very easy to gain the widest possible usage of the computer population. I can politely say that I have no clue exactly which computers are running FaD ... they all are ...

thanks for the stats Jim.

Mondo...all I can say is sweetness

Now if aonly the cooler weather will come so that I can turn on the other computer in my house.

And here I am ... really, really busy ... and hoping to assemble 3 more crunchers for the cause within a week or so. I am looking forward to winter as well. More grist for the mill.

Been a bit warmer than that here....not much. I've started increasing the clocks on all my systems once again, I drop 'em down a bit during the summer. Production will increase slightly over the next few weeks then stay stable for the winter!
