If I can be serious for a moment.

I never joined this team to be the top dawg every day. I've mostly participated on teams where I was not a top cruncher. I do appreciate being recognized for major milestones that I pass ... for instance every decade of contributions or every quarter billion molecules and such.

I feel like I've pushed other, more deserving team members from that title and the recognition that goes with it.

I've not been here very long and am still "earning my stripes" so to speak. I've found myself at odds with other team members recently and a I appologize for any discomfort that I have caused.

I don't know that I will share what I am thinking about doing at this point but there are some alternatives.

Everyone likes milestones. Heck the Rebel Alliance likes them so much we've done some of them twice now.

I don't think anyone here has egos big enough to resent you if thats what you're thinking.
Anandtech has alway taken pride in being the "Little guy" team. We have never had the huge crunchers where one or two guys produces over half the team production on any of the project's that I'm aware of. Our foundation has always been the mid level and smaller crunchers. I guess you could say Anandtech's the middle class of DC. I tend to like it that way myself. Don't take it the wrong way but you or I or Geoff or any of us is no more or less important than anyone of us who is plugging away with the 1 P3 machine that they own . They are doing the best they can with what they have just like the rest of us.
If anything you push the rest of us to find ways to increase our production to catch up with you , You're a target for the rest of us so to speak.
bty another thing about Anandtech. We have always agreed that we have the right to disagree with each other but we are still TeAm in the end.

Seriously, someone has to be at the top of the list, and it just so happens that you have created a very nice goal for the rest of us to try to catch. And in just the short time I've been running FaD, I've noticed a couple of people that have made some significant increases in production lately so it looks like it's working... 🙂

Man I love to look up and see the top dogs pushing out numbers I can only dream about.

I for the first time took a top day in production by myself on Einstein@Home.

I went straight in and thanked my lady for her contributions to my lil fleet 4 computers.

I know there are many that will out produce me, and I like that as well...Gives me something to try for.

If you are feeling bad about "beating us" please don't, If you are losing intrest because of the lack of competition...well you might try splitting the hordes.

I don't think tha latter would serve you any purpose though, as you seem to love fad.

I want to thank you, as I have doubled my production lately, in trying to be more like you top dogs 😛

I just thought all you folks were getting really tired of me being the Top Dawg ... and a newcomer at that ...

I kinda get bored by it ... I get a thrill when I can increase production 10% or 20% ... and, of course, the drug activity certificates ...

Besides, I want to see you pass the two people just in front of you in the ranks. Based on your current averages, you should be able to breeze past #5 in about 10 weeks, and #4 before the end of the year. Even less if you keep increasing your output like you have been... 🙂
