My mother's old Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 no longer updates Android beyond 4.1.2. It's as far up the candy chain as it's going to go, and so she can no longer use it for the passion of her life, watching baseball with the At Bat app from MLB. (why? because in their wisdom MLB has decided that a minimum of 4.4 is required to run their app...) So I'd like to pass it along to someone who will use it for simple browsing and email.
My question is: is it as simple as hitting the Factory Data Reset? Will it retain whatever Android OS updates it has already applied or will I need to update all that again? There is nothing else on the machine in terms of data or mail or pictures or contacts that matter, in fact I'd like all that to go away. Anyone know, or have any suggestions or cautions before I start? Many thanks, zz03
