Factory reset my Nexus 5?

I thought I'd start a separate thread asking for advice on this one. I don't use my N5 a great deal, but it seems to me that apps are crashing on it a heck of a lot more than I would expect based on my previous phone's record (Android 4.0.x). I would guess that apps crash on my N5 at least twice a week.

Would people advise doing a factory reset? It's a bit of a pain with backing stuff up etc, but if my experience is way beyond what other people are getting with their N5, then perhaps I ought to.

Most likely the app's fault and not the phones.

I would uninstall suspect apps and if it keeps happening I would factory reset the phone.

It's a huge range of apps though, like Google Search, Firefox, Google Maps, etc.

I've done a factory reset and only installed the bare minimum of apps for now. I've left out a fair few that I still need but just not yet.
