LOL...How can you not know who Morrissey is...wow

i cant recall ever hearing anything by the Smiths either,

*points* How old are you?

24

and its totally possiable that i have heard them but just had no idea who it was

The Smiths broke up in 1987. Recorded their last song (I Keep Mine Hidden) in August of 1987. Morrissey, the lead singer, went solo. His most recent album was release about one year ago. A new one is coming out spring of 2006.

You must be into American music. Fuff. :disgust:

this LOGO?

And he is very good.

Whopsies, outside of music, I'm not "into" the gay targeted audience, as I am not gay.

However! When I tell people my favorite music, they suddenly think I'm a gay man from the 80s.

Outside of Morrissey, it's Culture Club, Pet Shop Boys, Human League, etc etc.

🙁 It's a sin.

Please do not attempt to hijack my thread. 😉

"I count religion but a childish toy, and hold there is no sin but ignorance."
--Christopher Marlowe (1564 - 1593)
Dude.

"It's a sin."
--Neil Francis Tennant (1954 - Present)

He's just trying to be cool. ...Which he is.

He's one of the Pet Shop Boys, who did a song called "It's a Sin", and I was trying to be clever and get in a line while also commenting on how stupid it was to assume someone's gay because of music they listen to and the era it's from.

I know that. However, to say there is no correlation between the "style" of person you are and the music you listen to is foolish. It is wrong to put your assumptions into stone or judge based on assumptions, but to say there is no positive correlation is just ignoring the facts.

If someone tells you their favorite musician Marilyn Manson, it's safe to assume they don't wear Polo kakhis and a sweater tied around their neck and vote Republican. I'm sure there's some closet Marilyn Manson fan out there who does that, but don't ignore the facts.
