Facing the horns of a dilemma

This year I tried a few different vehicles on for size, one of them was a 2005 Civic, I had it for about four months, never really liked it and the gas savings wasnt worth having $15K tied up so I sold it and bought something I liked better for much less (2000 Crown Vic Police Interceptor)

anyway, I sold the Civic at the end of September and thought nothing more of it...........

Until today, I get a very threatening letter saying that my insurance co. notified the DMV that I have no insurance (on a car I dont own) and the DMV wants their tags and registration back or they will suspend my license, or I can pay some absurd fee :|

So, my wife and I proceed to search high and low looking for the missing tags, my wife is a bit of a clutterbug so there are stacks of stuff she should have done something with long ago, she is searching through this stuff and throwing away a bunch...

Here is the dilemma, she has been cleaning for almost an hour, I found the tags 40 minutes ago, how long do I wait before I tell her?

Tell her after the house is clean. But you HAVE to say you found them in a place she didn't look. Otherwise you're sleeping on the couch. Until the divorce is final.

See, thats a problem, they were right were I put them almost three months ago, in the door pocket of the Expedition SHE drives EVERY DAY

I put them there when we left CarMax after selling them the Civic.

Ya, you have to re-hide them and put them in the last place she will look. Then she will feel great that she found them, and you will have a cleaner house.

This happened when my family lived in NY and moved. We found out about 18 months later that our licenses were suspended and we had to pay something like three grand to get them back. We called them up and told them we had mailed them back on x date and that we were quite willing to take them to court.

Well, I told her, I tucked the plates into my waist under my shirt behind my back, I went and asked her if she would visit me in prison and asked for a hug, it went something like this
<hug... hug/clank? hug/clank/?!?!?!> where.. when.. you made me... :|...:disgust:...:D...:lips:

All is well.
