Cents vs. Dollars is a matter of opinion?

This post is arguably more facepalm than the recording. imo

I read txrandom's post as the subject matter in the video was a matter of opinion, but now that I look back at it, he might have just meant that the whole incident being "facepalm" was a matter of opinion.

Oops

additional facepalm!! arrghhh RAGE

clearly you didnt listen to the recording

I did at one point or another, but I've since forgotten. Too much to do and so little time; never enough time...

Anyway, I'll quit while I'm behind.

Math Ninja is my new hero and WHAT NOW, BITCHES? on the check is classic. I hated math in school and knew I'd never use it in life, but this thread makes me happy to have what limited knowledge I do. Apparently I have at least .002 more understanding of math than the average Verizon employee.

Best part is near the end when he has just lost all patience and goes "ah god"...the tone is perfect...

The caller was a moron. He could have just said that .002 dollars is 1/500th of a dollar, and .002 cents is 1/500th of one cent, thus it would take 500 (or 500kb) at a rate of .002 cents per kb to equal a single penny. He should definitely not try to teach math again.

I thought he did great leading them to the obvious conclusion which they refused to see.

As above:

"Do you recognize that there's a difference between one dollar and one cent?"

CSR: "Definitely"

"Do you recognize that there's a difference between half a dollar and half a cent?"

CSR: "Definitely."

"Then do you therefore recognize that there's a difference between .002 dollars and .002 cents?"

CSR: "No."
*********

you can't fix stupid
