Yea, I heard about this in emails. I don't ever use facebook (not destined for iraq for that matter either) so I don't have to worry about it.
 
This isn't FB's fault. Even though checking in is enabled by default, no one forces you to check in...

That's like saying, because I have the ability to shout at the top of my lungs that I am at a location, my power of speech is compromising security.

Guess it doesn't work the way I thought it did. I was thinking checking in was just logging in. There's another button to push? Saw there was also an option for your friends to check you in that's on by default.
