Is it possible to customize who can see each of the posts that are posted on your wall by other people? I was only able to find a general option, which would allow me to customize who would see all the posts but I couldn't find an option that would let me manage each post individually.

For example, let's say a girl posts on my wall and I don't want my girlfriend to see it because she is super jealous (hypothetical situation). So far I was only able to set that none of the posts posted on my wall by other people would be visible to her.

Halp?

Nope. The only solution I see to this problem is to leave your girlfriend because she's way too jealous, or for you to delete the random girl from your Facebook because it's not worth the drama.

Google+ circles

Unfortunately G+ is a big sausagefest, which is a shame because it's much better tech than Facebook.

Meh. That is a deal breaker. Another failed attempt at start using Facebook.
Why is it a deal-breaker? Why not just set it to 'none' and use the stuff Facebook is actually good for? I almost always skip over posts on my wall announcing some other person's post on a friend's wall. If the person isn't my own friend directly then I really don't care.

Because I don't trust what my friends might post on my wall. They constantly text me stupid stuff when they are drunk, they might do it on Facebook too. I don't want people who I am not intimate with to see that, especially if they are work related. And if people can't post on my wall (the only way to avoid this kind of situation would be to block everyone from posting) then what is the point of Facebook? I have an email already.

I just told you you can stop people from seeing this - in fact, you said it yourself in the OP. Are you being intentionally dense?

People can still post on your wall, but the posts are only for you to see. Seriously dude, if my mum can figure out Facebook surely you can pick it up.

How do I control who can see Wall posts that friends make on my profile?

  1. Go the Account menu at the top right corner of Facebook and choose Privacy Settings.
  2. Next to the How You Connect heading, click Edit Settings.
  3. Use the audience selector to choose “Who can see Wall posts by others on your profile?”
Note: People you restrict from seeing Wall posts from others will not be able to post to your Wall.

You didn't read my OP carefully, did you? I was trying to individually (can you see it now?) manage posts by others on my wall.

See the custom option? You can change what each individual one of your friends can do and see.

I think he wants to manage individual posts.

I'm not even sure how that would work. I guess he'd expect a private message from FB stating that X would like to post Y on his wall, and he'd have to approve it, as well as choose each individual who could view the post.

At that point, why bother? Just use email.

I - subject
was trying to manage - verb
individually - adverb
posts - object
by others on my wall - predicative

AND ENGLISH ISN'T EVEN MY FIRST LANGUAGE. LEARN.TO.READ.

Anyway, I'm done with this thread.

Agreed. The real root of his problem is:
Because I don't trust ... my friends

I know what you were saying, and I know how to do it. But you can go fuck yourself with a chainsaw.

Yeah, delete posts you dont want people to see or create friend lists that control what each group can see/post
