Huh? If anything its the reverse, people are more likely to embarass friends in high school. Maybe your friends are more acquaintances than real friends? People seem to confuse the two a lot. Sure you're generally friends with the latter but I sure as hell would never call out a real friend in front of anyone except other close friends, but I'd still be more likely to do it in private.
