Who here dislikes Facebook? I cannot stand it generally. I think it is poorly organized and many people LOVE the site. Maybe I do not see the point.
 
Haven't been a membear in years, but the wife is thinking of quitting it too since she says she gets more ads in her feed than anything else.

I found out about a lot of events on Facebook before.

A starbucks happy hour, and a buy one get one free coupon.

Facebook has been useful for me.
 
Every time that I'm in a public library or a university library, facebook is on at least 50%+ of the computer/laptop screens
 
I'm not a huge fan, but I don't actually HATE it like some people do. I find it's great way to stay in touch with friends and family. If you use it properly there's nothing wrong with it. You just have to go in with the assumption that anything you post is public. My Facebook is actually open, I have nothing to hide, because I did not put anything I would not want people to see.

The things that get people in trouble are stuff like posting pics of some party where they screwed a sheep or something then their wife sees it... uhhhh, maybe don't do those things to begin with? You can't blame Facebook for that stuff. Also don't go putting your home address and phone number on there. Some people actually do this. :hmm:

One thing I do find annoying about Facebook is how it broadcast's everything a person does. "bob liked George's status!" Who cares?

FB doesn't help me, it just helps me get in contact with them easier.

Freshman year of college was like the flood gates of poon poured down on me, I cant imagine how easy it is these days with FB.

Yeah after much cajoling I convinced her to get an SIII and it's pretty much all she uses for anything internet-related now, so all of her Facebook viewing is on there and it is driving her nuts. She showed me and it does look quite annoying!

how do you find out when you joined FB?
 
Facebook is nothing but a source of depression for me. I get to see people having great lives while I get defriended at least twice a month. I had like 90 friends and now I'm down to 50 people I don't even know.
 
It's useful for things like sharing the pics I took at my brother's wedding with all the family. People organize events and you can easily get headcount of confirmed people. It has its uses. I use it for my purposes and ignore it otherwise. Seems to work for me.
 
I don't get the hate either. I don't use it very much myself though. yeah, people post stupid shit but you don't have to view it.

I don't get what you dumbfucks are doing that you see tons of ads.... i never see ads.

I like it because i can see updates on some friends that don't live near me any more but i mostly use it to see new videos from people who post stuff to youtube, like Robbaz or FPS Russia. Also get updates from my favorite bands, etc.

for people who are supposed to be so tech savvy i don't get why you idiots have so many problems with technology.
