I played through it a couple weeks ago and had no crashes at all and one sound bug which simply required a restart of the game. Not bad for ~25 hours of play.Originally posted by: TheVrolok

from where?
it is one of the *most stable* games i have played ... and it doesn't need a patch ... runs perfect oob.
i think Fable 2 will make it to PC
So due to this thread and this post I went out and picked it up.. bam.. doesn't play. I get the same issue I've heard other gets around the net. It'll get to a black screen and hang either right after it auto-saves before starting a new game, or right after the intro (pictures of the map and subtitles) plays. I just sit at black with a mouse pointer. I think it's actually crashing but I can't get back to my desktop. Event viewer gives me:
Faulting application fable.exe, version 25.7.13.149, faulting module fable.exe, version 25.7.13.149, fault address 0x00843023.

Fixed it. All I had to do was pull out my Audigy 2, and go back to the onboard realtek - new SB drivers didn't cut it. Then, had to manually disable my Logitech Webcam by renaming a .sys to stop a BSOD caused by Fable. That was easy Good thing I'll just have to beat the game then put my computer back together.
