Ok, here's the story: I installed Win98SE, then installed Win2K a while later. I changed around the boot order such that Win98 is the default, however, when I press F8 before Windows starts to get the list of boot options (e.g. Safe mode, Command prompt, etc), I get the Win2K list, not the Win98 list. Is there any way to fix that so I get the list of Win98 boot options?

What happened is you didn't install them separately. It's already partially into win2k when you select win98. (note how how can only change to boot order in 2k) What you can do to get the 98 screen is let it boot partially into 98 and then hit reset. next time it starts to boot into 98, it'll give you the screen you want. I had to do this to fix a video driver problem. crude, yet effective

You can edit your msdos.sys file so that the menu always comes up. I don't know if you can get the menu to come up when you press f8, though.

Add the line BootMenu = 1 so the menu always comes up

Or you can select win98 at the win98/win2k selection screen, press return and then press F8 straight after. You will get the win98 boot option screen that way.
