The V6 ecoboost motor for the F150 is a $4600 option. Is it really that good? I'm up to 35k for a new truck, that's a lot of coin for a work truck.
Depends. Although I like where they're going with the ecoboost, I personally would not spend the extra dime for it. Then again, thats cos I've got a rule about not buying the 1st production run of a new model/engine.
It's not the first production run of the engine, though...
?? I thought this was the 1st production run of the ecoboost for the F150
i think 4600 over the old v6 and 750 over the base v8 that it beats, but yea I feel ya. I added the convenience pack(towing, sync and some more), supercrew, and was around 36 or 39 if I wanted 4x4.
truecar.com makes it look nicer, though they dont have pricing for the ecoboost loaded yet.
The ford website is screwed up. Choosing mirrors locks up the system, and the "work truck group" option that reduces the price by around $700 costs around $900.
I'm also having issues with the height of the bed. I don't know why the they decided the truck needs to be so high, but it makes side access or tool boxes pretty much useless.
At that price I would get a Raptor.
For what?At that price I would get a Raptor.
At that price I would get a Raptor.

If it's a work truck it's likely that he'll want options that aren't available on the Raptor (such as an 8 foot bed).
just because it's appropriate....
