OK...
Is this footage real or it is really the new F1 2011 game?

The footage looks real, I have a hard time believing it is a game...
The electronic speedometer may be just a computer effect added to the footage...

Check it out:

Edit: It is not a game, shit they got me spoofed for a minute...

Is that Tach around the outside edge of the speed/gear display?

Is he really doing 16000 RPMs??

they are now limited to 18000 rpm, down from 20000 a few years ago. if the revs drop below 12000 at the start, the driver has bogged down badly. the cars are geared to enable most corners to be taken at full revs, to maintain a very narrow power band and the aero effect of the exhaust.

real from yesterday's race ... with today's metallurgical advances they can hit 24k rpm but limited to 18k ... mercedes should give ross brawn complete control and budget ...

btw that drive was last place to 5th in yesterday's race ... go schumi !

That's real. It was from the Belgian Grand Prix yesterday, Schumacher started dead last due to a rear wheel coming off at the top of the Kemmel straight during qualifying, he finished 5th.

A modern F1 car can generate 5gs of lateral loading in a turn, negative 5gs under braking, 1g under acceleration and negative 1g just letting off the throttle due to aerodynamic drag.
