F1 car without technical regulations

It looks like Newey and Red Bull got a hold of a Caparo and went to town. I approve of this vehicle and wish to hear Richard Hammond's comments on its aesthetics.

It's quite possibly why they picked a CVT. You just let the turbine sit in its best RPM range and use the transmission to get the right RPM at the wheels.

bingo

i have to wonder if it'd be less expensive to build a car like this than one with all the regs? a lot of the regs are supposed to decrease cost, but what actually happens is someone figures out how to spend more money to get around the reg. the best example is nascar limiting testing time on track... so the moneyed teams build a giant treadmill to put the car on and run it at 180 mph. there's no way that's cheaper than allowing more test time on a track.

Cant wait. Its a shame it got delayed slightly, but it'll still be out before the holidays so whatever

Slight delay?!?

The release date was expected to be Friday 27 March 2009. That was 783 days ago! That is over two years later than originally scheduled.

Apparently it was "nearly" done in March this year but Sony wanted PD to add 3D support 🙁

Sony decided on October 12th to delay the game just a little bit longer.
