This is the correct response for conspiracy theorist whackjobs calling themselves conservatives. They should be derided and laughed at as fools until they decide they can grow up and join the rest of America again outside of wingnutlandia, this is the correct way in a free society to deal with all extremists. I can see how a professor whose field is same sex relationship studies could be angered by Republicans using the "coming out" terminology considering how regularly republicans do their best to squash the rights of the LGBT community. I can sympathize with the anger and irritation she felt at that email. However as a college professor her response was inappropriate. She should be more restrained and measured than that and she put forth a poor example for her students.

The Taliban wouldn't had even sent a e-mail back. They would have rounded up all the people that annoyed them and then beheaded them in public venue as a warning to others.

Heres one of those reality hints: Liberals are not hippies. The 60s are over. Hippies hated mainstream liberals anyhow and were mainly a anti-authoritarian and anti-establishment reaction to the fake culture of the 50s.
