F' me and my wallet

I bought the ATT version recently too. I got the one with the slightly smaller screen (4.3 vs. 4.5) but it's still noticeably bigger than the Atrix I had. It's almost a little uncomfortable to use depending on where the app is putting the buttons.

how are you liking the ATT samsung galaxy s2?

I just bought the Nokia 800 from Amazon. I loves me my Windows Phone. Was gonna go Titan but it doesnt support Tmobile 3g and I really dont need that monster (even though a sick part of me really wants it).

Does the Lumia 800 work on T-Mobile's 3g? I didn't think it did.

Pretty sure it's stuck on EDGE on T-Mo. Don't you need 1700mhz (AWS) for T-Mo 3G?

http://www.phonedog.com/2011/11/25/...ilable-for-purchase-in-the-u-s-from-expansys/

Yes... AWS is 1700/2100. Needs both.
Although t-mobile is rolling out some 1900 3g in certain areas. Look at howardforums, some people are getting 3g on phones that normally only get edge. This is very limited though.

And where do you see 5 band shortylickens?
It says Networks: WCDMA 850/900/1900/2100, GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 ?
It is quad-band. You will only get EDGE.

I know how you feel.

I bought the Bionic in September.

I bought the Galaxy Nexus yesterday. LOVING IT. :awe:

What's not loving it? You guessed it, sir: My wallet! D:

I missed the chance to get Best Buy to give me about $250 for my Bionic. Dammit. I'm afraid of what ebaying it will net me, considering it has two small knocks on the body and a bit on the glass, my dumbass fumbled the damn thing a few days after buying it.

[I got the high-gloss translucent TPU-style case, total size is like my Bionic naked. lol]

The GN though, omg. ICS and this baby love each other. Day one I was already rooted and utilizing adb and got on with some ROM fun.

ICS is what Android needs. Can't wait to see what Motorola and Samsung cook up in the regular market. Mostly Motorola.

Too late. On its way.
Crap. Whenever I really want something its always delayed. Whenever I wanna cancel something, it shipped half an hour after I ordered it.

OK, got the Nokia. Played with it for a bit. Sorry I clipped my SIM to see how good the 2G was. It stinks. Would be totally useless for searching and navigating while I'm going around town.

Body is absolutely gorgeous. Those preview pics arent shooped, the thing really does look like a work of art. Screen is actually mediocre for a smartphone. Kinda dim and since you only get 3 brightness settings there isnt much for you to do. Colors looked like ass if you tilted the screen too much. You can see pixels, even though its one of the smaller WP7 devices out there now. Nokias maps are nice, didnt recall seeing the ability to sideload map data. That would be nice and almost make 2G speeds bearable while driving if I just had to look up local gas stations and such, not the actual roads. Shame I couldnt find it.

They included a Grey color theme on top of the usual WP7 colors, and I liked it a lot. Not enough to keep a 2G smartphone, but pretty much everything was high quality. However based on the tiny, unimpressive screen I now know I wont be getting the 710 or 800 when they arrive on Tmobile next year. Will wait for the Titan or something else.

Given I wasnt too impressed with their E6 I'd have to say Nokia has nothing for me at this moment.

Already ordered up a RMA from Amazon. Will send it out on Tues or whenever. I guarantee their return department will be quite busy after Xmas.

I like it quite a bit. Battery life is less than stellar though which is my only issue.

A battery charger for my AT&T SGS2 was probably my best tech purchase this year:

http://www.amazon.com/Samsung--CGPK0...4683394&sr=8-1

The problem isn't that the battery runs through quickly (it is not much worse than other Android phones), the problem is that it takes forever to charge. I got spoiled with my Nook Color, and the SGS2 can't even be hacked to fast-charge.

So I just flip batteries instead.
