F@H troubles....

Found out I haven't uploaded an of my work since November... (When we got a NAT router). I've also just downloaded the latest (v. 2.15) f@h console client.

I open it, enter my name, team, (does it need roxy or not, neither work), and tell it to not ask me before sending.

Then I get:

"Getting ID from AS: - Getting ID from AS: - Getting ID from AS: - Getting ID from AS: - Getting ID from AS: - Getting ID from AS: - Getting ID from AS: - Getting ID from AS: - Getting ID from AS: - Getting ID from AS: - Getting ID from AS: -
: Configuring Folding@home...
Username [KBTibbs]?"

And so it loops on and on... Any ideas on how to 1) fix this 2) get it to report through my NAT router?

If your router has a DMZ option, you might open it long enough to complete the transmission, then close it back up again.

I figgered it out.... you arent running Seti..... SOLVED.... 😛

to get it through the NAt... try to poen the ports that are associated with F@H using port forwarding.... if that isnt your problem... i'm clueless....

SETI, not that I have anything against SETI per say...but why look for life in space? I mean I'm a huge science and scifi fan, but, why not try to make the world a better place yourself rather then hoping an alien race will come along and help us. Folding at home is working to cures for AIDS and other life threatening illnesses. What improvements to humanity has SETI given us other then Jodi Foster in Contact?
