A week or so ago, the PandeGroup had an announcement concerning an interesting result using Tinker. For a few days anyway, more Tinkers were sent out, even to machines with the -advmethods flag set. Must have been quite intersting to do that. I know of no new info about the situation, but its probably WAY over my head anyhow.... 😉
Hopefully they are onto something big! 🙂


Most of my machines have Gromacs back now.........
 
I wonder what the "interesting result" was ??????

I got a couple Tinkers and am back to Gromacs now.... (but they are new ones I haven't folded before)

Thanks for posting the link, rotten1! Sorry I haven't been able to keep up on things lately, but my job has taken over my day-life (not that I had any real life before, thanks to AnandTech, but let's not go there 😉), and I'm rather tired in the evening. Oh well, sorry again about the mini-rant, but anyway, that is a very interesting development. I hope to see more news on it as things unfold (uh, no pun intended). Not that I'd understand anything really technical that's said about it, but it's still interesting nonetheless. 🙂
 
All for good cause, right? I don't like Tinkers but I never delete them. I fold every thing I get from Stanford, Gromacs, Tinkers or even GAH. I hope they get more machines fold for Tinkers Projects.
