Thanks for the stats, Nate. :cool:

The last 2 results apparently is lost in space or something, so stops crunching till some of the bugs are fixed... :beer:

Check the Stanford page. The stats page linked sometimes takes a bit longer to post since they are pulling from Stanford.
I've yet to lose a unit. Sometimes they post 2 to even 3 updates late, but they do show up.

Thanks Nate...We keep getting these new users but our active is always stuck in the high 190's. I think we can be consistently over 200 if we get about 10 more people.

Thanks to the 600point WU that i got from somewhere this morning that overtake date has been pushed back indefinitely. So about that 600 pointer...I have 4 crunchers running right now 1 of which is my 3.2HT so technically I have 5. The only ones set to accept the big WU's are the two in my house. Neither of them have turned in a 600pointer in at least a week. So i'm still trying to figure out where this thing came from. Does anyone know if they give out 600point WU's for your first work unit even if you don't have -advmethods enabled? If so, then I think I know where it came from.

Taking a look in the logs, the 5 results was returned... (all times GMT +2)

2005-04-14 05:06:37 [Folding@Home BOINC Beta] Computation for result fold finished
2005-04-14 05:06:37 [SETI@home] Starting result 07se04aa.5671.3137.773556.198_2 using setiathome version 4.09

2005-04-14 05:06:58 [Folding@Home BOINC Beta] Scheduler RPC to http://hidden... succeeded

According to the folding@homestats on the other hand, last result was returned... 2005-04-13 21:11:09... whatever time-zone this is, but it seems it must correspond to the time of 5th result...

Anyway, most likely reason, folding@home is relying on their "normal" wu-server when handing out work, and this doesn't detect [BOINC] Machine ID: 102 != [BOINC] Machine ID: 103 so sends the same wu to the same computer twice...

:music:Nate is great...he gives us chocolate cake:music: ... AND GRAPEFRUIT JUICE.

Sorry, but I couldn't resist. Everytime I see your name I think of the Bill Cosby skit (these are not your children) where he gives them chocolate cake for breakfast.

Anyways, Hello Ingleside and _DrMeerkat :beer:

congrats PeruvianHighlander:beer:

On another note I'll finally have time to attempt to overclock the new system this weekend. I work full time and I am working on my Master's. I think I'm a little ahead for once:eek:. How much does an increase of 500MHz help (winny 3200+) with PPD?

Edit for grammar.

My experience with OC'ing here seemed to show there was very nearly (if not exactly) a 1:1 relationship between %Increase of FSB and %Increase in PPD (Assuming the multiplier is not changed... If you change the multiplier only, the relationship was something like .7 or so.). My method was not very scientific, but I tried :roll:

Careful to make sure you have the same conditions for each "benchmark". I used boot before bed, check PPD (using FAHLog Stats) in the morning with no other activity besides the residents that are present all the time.

Welcome to the TeAm, Ingleside and _DrMeerkat :) If you have any questions or need any help, just ask.

Congratulations to the Milestone Makers! esp. orion7144 w/350,000

Moltres, welcome to the 50K Club :D

Thanks ntg :p

@Rattledagger
Thanks for doing that beta testing!
With the regular clients, it is possible to get the same WU again if the server does not have a record that you sent it in.

@JeffCos
IIRC, you must have Bigpackets = yes set in config. You do not need flag.

What I think - after the number of available WUs gets below a certain number, the percent of that projects WUs that gets sent out is lowered.

The assignment server might only assign that project maybe two minutes out of every hour. It is the luck of the draw (minute) :confused:

Hey RD, if you catch this, do you use BoincView or similar to monitor your machines?

Most of the time just lets BOINC core client run as a service, if wants to monitor/control starts the BOINC Manager.

BoincView has it's own set of bugs, so normally only uses it if wants to "deplete" a project for work...

I found with my winny 3200+ I recived a gain of around 9% for every 10% overclock. atm i'm running at 2.26ghz (226mhz 3-3-3) but I only have generic memory so I can't go 2-2-2 :(
