Welcome to TeAm AnandTech F@H :)

Production=44,659 (I wonder if this has anything to do with cornell :frown: )

Active Users=186 (2 new)

New Milestones:

Congrats :beer::):beer:

44,659 points were folded for a total of 14,254,157. Our production is down, but that seems to be our trend - have a few good days, have a few not so good days :) Active users is at the highest I have ever witnessed, and I hope it still climbs:D Our dip in points lost us some ground to SpeedGuide.net wich is now 15 days away from being surpassed. I have noticed quite a few new users joining lately, please don't be shy, drop a post in the DC forums every once in a while :)

If I have missed anything or if you have any comments or suggestions, let me know.

Useful getting started info can be found here: ProviaFan's and MDE's (Join TeAm AT F@H, We could use your help :))

New users will not appear until they have completed a Work Unit under team 198

Milestones are as follows: 1,000, 5,000, 10,000, after 10k milestones will be given at 10k intervals up to 200k, after 200k milestones will be given every 100k.

Well first welcome wicktron and Simo. With regards to production, I seem to finish a WU every other day or so (large WUs). If everyone is on this schedule it would create an erratic valley and peak trend, but due to the number of members one would think this pattern would balance out. Just a theory.

I just look at it as that much closer to a solution.

Xitar, thank you for commenting on the stats:) I agree with you, with around 174 active users average you would think our production would be more consistent. I will be doing some more reaserch and have more thoughts on this later!

Whether I get a big WU or not seems to be kind of random right now. I was getting them at a steady rate, but my production will go down a bit since I'm getting WU under 100 points that take what seems like half as long as a 600 point WU to complete.

Thanks for the stats Nate!

two computers.... one has a 600, the other got stuck with a Tinker (YUKKIES).

Just know that everytime you get a slower WU, so did a gazillion other folders. It all comes out in the wash!

The BigWUs are getting fewer in number.

Server #.128 has 185
#.154 has 96
#.156 has 201
These are the BigWU servers.

I got a BigWU by NOT using the -advmethods flag.

The p1475 WUs from .128 are nice!

P4 3.0@3.3 two instances running:
the 1475 gives 207 ppd
the 1135 gives 149 ppd

I myslef have been getting 600er WUs pretty constantly on my P4 2,8 with the -advmethods flag. I'd say that out of my last 20 WUs on this one at least 17 were big ones. My other assimilated machines don' get big WUs 'cause I won't them to stay as subtle as possible in resource hogging.

Welcome to the TeAm wicktron and Simo
:D

Congratulations to the MMer.

Thanks nate

With the varying types of processors and sizes of work units, esp. the big WU's, I am not surprised at the peaks and valleys. I don't know how many active members it would take to smooth out the results, but maybe we have a statistical expert in the house that could tell us. ?? Any takers?? :D
