The Dutch Power Cows are steak-ified! And what happened to DAPUNISHER? Did you assimilate another machine?

Congrats MMers!

Not quite yet... We're outproducing them, but we haven't passed them in the total rankings at this time (hopefully that will happen soon). :)

Unfortunately, the work must be turned in on a deadline (which is typically very liberal; many larger units have 40 day or longer deadlines so the 300MHz PIIIs in the group can participate), so the client does not allow WUs to be cached. What I usually recommend is either that the GUI client be used, and it be set to prompt the user to manually initiate a connection whenever work needs to be exchanged, or the dialup connection be set to be automatically initiated (in that case, some WUs will not be able to send, so the user must run "Fah3console -send all" manually on the occasion of an internet connection; the "main" instance of the CLI, if it is running as a service, need not be shut down for this).

Edit to clarify: the F@H CLI, when sending and receiving work, tries to send two times first, and then gives up if it's not successful. Unfortunately, the 30 seconds that it takes the average modem to dial, handshake, and verify security info is too long for our impatient client, so it times out before the work can be sent. It then goes on to retrieve work, which works just fine, since the modem is up and running by now. However, the outgoing work is stuck in a "queue" of sorts (so yes, there is a queue, just not an incoming one) until it can be sent with the switch I mentioned above.

Thx for the stats and congrats to the MMs. Moving quickly to the next milestone :D Around 80 points a day :D But I intended to overtake DAPUNISHER, just like everyone else ;) But then he took off!

Anyway, there IS another way, but it is not recommended. Just run 2 clients, with one of the clients at a higher priority. But I suggest using F@H using the Genome switch on the lower priority client because afaik there is no deadline on these WUs...

I wish! I just managed a couple of 73point Gromacs for a change instead of these long lame Tinkers worth 19 points :frown: I'm hopin' for a 146 point Gromacs like everyone else but so far nada! Orion is flying up the ranks! How many boxes does he have and has he been getting sweet WU's onh top of it? Anyways, here's a  for him and his excellent production for the TeAm.

Thanx for the stats j :)

Since I put -advmethods on the end of my command line I have had nothing but GROMACS. And recently I have had about 15 of those p542 33 pointers on the trot. Before that it used to alternative with the p537s (18 points).

I'm using it too, plus the -forceasm switch but I'm gettin' lots of lame WU's :brokenheart:
