i think i got everything under control...147 points so far..yay...this next work unit is taking like 3 minutes a frame though, is that normal?

Hi astralusion

It is normal. FaH (Folding@Home) WUs (work units) come from many different protein projects.

Points on WUs range from 10 to 600.

Points are determined by how long it takes Stanfords benchmark computer (P4 2.8) to finish the WU.

The WUs are listed here: http://vspx27.stanford.edu/psummary.html
with lots of info listed, points, frames, atoms, deadlines, the server they come from, etc.

that'll work Gleem

hey, i have a completed wu sitting in my queue for some reason. its taking on new wu's but doesn't seem to want to send.

i tried using the -send all tag but it just said attempting to send...

i've messed around with the tags a bit but it seems odd that it would take on more without being able to send this one

the only tags i had left on were -forceasm and -advmethoods. i took of -verbosity and -local. wonder if i should put -local back on orr something.

and i tried restarting the program after changing the tags.

btw, heres my bit of log file on it-

[12:29:16] + Attempting to send results
[12:29:16] Couldn't send HTTP request to server (wininet)
[12:29:16] + Could not connect to Work Server (results)
[12:29:16] (171.64.122.127:8080)
[12:29:16] - Error: Could not transmit unit 00 (completed August 31) to work server.

This address will show the Server Status and alot more info: http://vspx27.stanford.edu/serverstat.html

Status column should say "Full" and Connect column should say "Accept" if the server is working.

You can also paste in the Server address - 171.64.122.127 in your case for that WU - and get "OK" on a web page.

It is "up" now.

Also strange that it did not try to send to the Collection Server. (.100 I think)

Keep an eye on it and if it doesn't send soon we will have to find out why.
